I like the dream sequence between Lorelai and Luke because it would’ve been really cute for them to have twins and fight over coffee all of the time! I know I tend to be in the Christopher or Max corner for Lorelai, but this kind of Luke I can settle for! Plus, we hear some hilarious phrases from Paris when she talks in her sleep in the opening.

In Washington, D.C., when Jamie first came on the scene, I thought for a split second he was going to be Rory’s new love interest until I saw his face light up at Paris. I’m glad to see an extended story for Paris. I have to say that I think her date outfit looked better before the addition of the sweater. And how sweet it is that Rory was talking about Jess while giving advice to Paris about liking people. I wish she would just wrtite that letter to him!

My favorite line in the episode is uttered by Paris:

“Not at night, when it’s dating time…”

Rory could not want to see Dean less and I don’t blame her because she’s been thinking about Jess all summer! I would change my plane riding clothes to see Jess too…and not just because I’m always skeezy after a plane ride. I’m sure it was crushing to see Jess and Shane kissing at the festival, but I’m sure Dean would be crushed to see her kissing Jess. Interesting that Jess has gone for someone completely opposite from Rory in looks and interests.

It is quite the bummer for Lorelai to have to admit to her parents that Christopher has reunited with his pregnant girlfriend. I wish they had been a little sympathetic instead of bringing up the past. At least it spurred Lorelai to try to make up with Luke, even though she said she didn’t come in to do so, and even if she did pretend her name was Mimi.

The Lazy-Hazy-Crazy song does get stuck in my head feels for days when I watch this episode, but I like it!
